Presentation

Overview of scholarly research/creative activity:  My research interest focuses on the uptake of health services among patients with chronic diseases and substance abuse problems. In the past 10 years, I'm thankful for working in the fields of global health, epidemiology, social science, clinical pharmacy, health economics, and health service research in Asia, Australia, and America.

Specific projects working on:  I will briefly cover the ongoing projects in my patient safety research lab, including but not limited to Assessment of Opioid Prescribing in California, Time-spatial spreading of Covid 19, and Personalized Use of Cardiovascular Drugs in Asian patients.

Number of students looking to work with: 5 or more

Time commitment for students:  Biweekly meeting and voluntary commitment

When students are needed: Fall 2021, Interterm, Spring, and Summer 2022

Requirements for students who work with you: Knowledge of statistics or geospatial science.

What would students be expected to do: Data analysis and manuscript preparation

Additional Information: I look forwards to hosting self-motivated students, regardless of your background, major, and experience. I wish you to have programming experience in statistical packages, write and prepare manuscripts for publication, or be familiar with ArcGIS. Beyond all of these, passion is the most important quality.
