Overview of scholarly research/creative activity: I will discuss a book in progress, "Communicating Interculturally: Theories, Themes, and Practice for Societal Wellbeing." I'll cover the value of culture, and strategies for intercultural communication. This presentation is for students and practitioners; and supports general ideas necessary for global understanding.
Specific projects working on: My book and presentation are titled "Communicating Interculturally." I have three primary objectives: 1) to strengthen learners' understanding of culture’s influence on verbal and nonverbal communication; 2) to strengthen learners' understanding of how messages are interpreted by different people; and 3) to foreground theories, themes, and daily practice of intercultural communication.
