Overlooked Black Women Artists/Subjects within the Western Art Canon

Working alongside Sarit A., we outlined the overlooked role of black women within the Western Art Canon during the Harlem Renaissance, the Civil Rights movement, and the Black is Beautiful movements era. Using specfic dates corresponsing with art pieces and artists, Herendeen and Ashkenazi created a precise timeline that showcases the black women and subjects who are "left behind" in many art history classes.
