Meredith Heika Biography
Hello! My name is Meredith Heika, and I'm a sophomore Screenwriting student at Chapman University. I'm originally from Colleyville, Texas but currently reside in Anaheim, California.
If I have an idea that involves a specific medium, I will do whatever I can to make my vision come to life, whether that be through sculpture, painting, or fabrication. In high school, my ideas began to involve photography, which was a medium I hadn't explored in-depth before. I taught myself how to create the images I wanted, but I never really learned the true ins and outs of photography. I don't feel like I can call myself a photographer until I understand the history of the art form and how it began. To truly appreciate the medium I work with, I believe it is my obligation to learn about and appreciation all the steps that had to be taken to make it what it is.After graduation, I'd love to work as a screenwriter, but I'm also interested in wardrobe, makeup, and hair in the entertainment industry. I'm not sure exactly where I want to live or what I want to do, but I know what makes me happy, so I like to keep my options open.
