Codex Chapman

Arms Holding Up Bird

The other image of this omen showed the hunter holding the bird in its hands, while in this image, the hunter has his arms wrapped around the bird, indicating that it is large. The size of the bird adds to the importance of this event because a bird that large would get attention and would be inspected because of its rarity. It happens to be that this time, it was an omen that led to a key event in history.
