Codex Chapman

Atl - Water Glyph

In the middle of this image is a cluster of various wavy lines, with some coming to points with a circle and dot at the tip. Looking at the image keywords in the Florentine Codex, atl or the water glyph was one of them. Compared with other images with the same keyword, a similar form existed, meaning that this part of the image is a body of water. Also, the term Anahuacatlalli means coastal lands, which implies that these areas are near an ocean.
