Mirror & Stars

Above the bird's head is a yellow ring containing a transparent middle (a mirror) and a star, while above are more stars. According to the text, the stars represent the Fire Drill or Mamalhoaztli constellation, meaning a new period was to arrive. Having multiple stars outside the mirror shows that more than one star was seen and brings a sense of wonder and rarity to a unique moment.
