The man to the right is holding what appears to be corn leaves, suggesting the whipping of the body of the man standing in the middle, who has lash marks and is presumably the master or person being healed. The man sitting on the ground is holding a bowl with pahtli, the term for herbs with a medicinal value. #Temazcalli #Pahtli plain 2024-05-06T19:24:08+00:00 Source: Getty Research Institute, Digital Florentine Codex, Book 10, Folio 113v, https://florentinecodex.getty.edu/book/10/folio/113v/images/6c59bbc5-7fbc-441e-adbf-50d11f74cfc9 Nuria Schettino González b796f1d66c0f6e2f7d27ffcda4a079e8d2a2e245
