Scorpion Sting

Scorpions are known for their venomous sting and defensive capabilities. In many cultures, including Mesoamerican societies, they symbolize danger and protection simultaneously. While their sting poses a threat, scorpions are also seen as guardians against malevolent forces.
Like other arthropods, scorpions undergo molting, shedding their exoskeletons as they grow. This shedding and renewal process symbolizes transformation and rebirth in many cultural contexts, including Mesoamerican beliefs.
