White Speckles - Star Design

In this image, the Citlalaxolotl has a brown and gray coat with white circles flecked throughout. Although they look like circles and geometrically do not look like stars, they have the same effect as seeing stars in the sky: white circles. These circles could also be related to the star glyph in the Nahuatl language, whose basic form is a circle. These glyphs would be recognizable to the Nahua, which probably led to why they described the Citlalaxolotl's coat as such.
