Yellow and Green

Colors in Nahua culture had specific symbolic meanings. For example, yellow (often derived from the yellow marigold, an important ceremonial flower) was associated with the direction south and could symbolize food, grains, and life-giving forces. Green typically symbolized earth, fertility, and growth, reflecting the lush vegetation of the landscape.
