David Carson (MM, MILS) serves as the Health Sciences Librarian at Chapman University and is the liaison librarian for Crean College of Health and Behavioral Sciences. Originally from Detroit, Michigan, David has been a valued member of the Leatherby Libraries for eight years, gaining extensive knowledge of the library's resources. David provides comprehensive library and research support to students, faculty, and staff. He also conducts in-class instruction and workshops on health sciences databases, citation styles and management tools, and information literacy. David is dedicated to promoting the academic and professional success of individuals at both the Rinker and Orange campuses.

Ivan Portillo (MLIS, AHIP) is the Coordinator of Rinker Campus Library Services, Health Sciences Librarian, and the liaison librarian for the School of Pharmacy.  A health sciences librarian for over ten years, Ivan has taken the role of promoting the importance of evidence-based medicine, critically appraising information, and identifying the most relevant and appropriate resources. Ivan provides comprehensive library and research support to all Chapman students, faculty, and staff. Ivan oversees all library services offered at the Health Sciences Study Commons and the Harry and Diane Rinker Health Science Campus.
