Overview of scholarly research/creative activity:
Dr. Arasteh's current research is focused on modeling emerging computer systems and bridging the gap between hardware and software design. These efforts enable the building of future intelligent computer systems that are efficient, safe, and reliable.

Specific projects working on:
Designing new AI applications for intelligent autonomous systems requires constant innovation in computer system design. Our research seeks to significantly increase computer systems performance to meet the urgent demand for more computation and storage capacity. An attractive approach to enable early performance estimation and efficient design exploration is Transaction Level Modeling (TLM), that model both hardware and software behavior. We investigate, explore, and design models that will change the building of traditional computers.

If you are interested in programming, interaction of hardware and software, and hands-on experience, you may find our research projects in System Platform Exploration Lab (SPEL) exciting.
