Overview of scholarly research/creative activity:
Research in the Healthy Aging Lab (HAL), led by Dr. Tara Gruenewald, examines social and psychological factors that shape cognitive and physical functioning, physiology, and mental and physical health across the life course.

Specific projects working on:
We are working on a number of projects in the lab:

(1) Identifying psychobiological pathways that underlie social disparities in health;

(2) Understanding how positive life experiences can promote better health and stress resilience;

(3) Investigating how prosocial behaviors and orientations may promote better health, functioning, and longevity; and

(4) Understanding stress and resilience factors in LGBTQ families.
