Overview of scholarly research/creative activity: The Ferrucci Institute supports creative and scholarly work for professors and students working on Italy-related projects across disciplinary units. A series of Interdisciplinary Pathways, faculty-led lines of investigation intersecting arts and sciences, is currently open to student participation.
Specific projects working on: The Interdisciplinary Pathways are Eloquent Effigies (theater, puppetry, digital media, film, philosophy); Identity and Power: Italian Jews (history, politics, psychology, cultural studies); Performing Memory (ethnicity, identity, film, memoir, psychology); Food Design (ethnicity, cultural studies, communication, food branding); Mathematics as Culture (math, geometry, history, philosophy, arts; spirituality); Singing Poetry (songwriting, literature, music); Shared Vision (film history, gender studies, creativity, collaboration, archival research).
