Hi everyone my name is Asher Gantman. I am a senior at Chapman University studying Peace Studies. I was born in raised in the valley, specifically West Hills, and came to Chapman in 2017. This is my final semester at Chapman and I am very excited to be apart of this community. I currently live in the Roaring Fork Valley of Colorado. Very soon I will be taking the LSAT and pursuing my dream of being an Environmental Lawyer with specialization in land area protections. I am an avid skier, mountain biker, 14er hiker (I like to hike mountains that are at least 14,000 feet in elevation), and car enthusiast. In my free time when I am not looking at cars, you can usually find me doing home modifications or skiing down moguls. Another fun fact about me is that I have two dogs, Oliver and Sasha, both of whom are Golden Doodles. I am very interested in Black cultural production because of the continued civil unrest and continued racism in America which has long gone unchallenged and unopposed. In my mind the best way to contribute to activism dealing with this issue is to learn more about the subject!
