Assess Scope of Work
It is important to know the amount of work involved so that you can make a plan and delegate work to complete by the deadline. Even if you don't have all the details, you can use the information that you already have, think of possible scenarios, and put it all together for a plan that will likely change throughout the process.
With our change in services, we were given a ballpark timeframe and general overview of what was happening and what needed to be done. We made a list of all the tasks/work that could possibly be involved:
- Change all banners and titles to new branding
- Review all videos and rerecord or edit those with specific branding or instructions
- Update each LibGuide with new screenshots and links to new resources and webpages
- Inform users of upcoming changes
Now that you know what work will be involved, you can start to prioritize.
