After living in a horse-stall at the Tanforan Assembly Center for several months, you are taken to Topaz a more permanent internment camp in Utah. The camp is surrounded by a five-strand barbed wire fence and eight guard towers. When you arrive, they haven't finished building the camp. The blocks are overcrowded and there is no furniture. It's difficult to imagine building a new life here.
