In this podcast, I wanted to highlight the ways in which Faith Ringgold was influenced by her upbringing. Faith Ringgold is an American painter, storyteller, quiltmaker, sculptor, performance artist, political activist, among many more things. She grew up in Harlem during the Harlem Renaissance and Great Depression, she lived through World War II, her mother was a fashion designer, her father was a storyteller, her grandmother taught her how to quilt, and overall, she lived through many very important events in history that impacted her beliefs and artistic style. She is an incredibly inspiring woman whose legacy will live on far after she passes. Please use this link to access the Podcast on Youtube!
